What if being creative is exactly what I need to feel inspired?
Contemplating the nature of unpainted space on a canvas.
At what point does a child start to think that they’re not a creative person as if creativity is a skill some people have and some people don’t and that such a person is distinguishable from the rest of us?

If I could start and finish every painting in one day (or preferably one session), without stopping, I would (or rather the perfectionist in me would).

I had an 80cm x 100cm canvas sitting in my workroom with its back to the room for weeks. Why? Because I had totally destroyed the front of it and couldn’t bear to look at it.
